The title of my book is The Lovely Bones. The Author is Alice Sebold. The story is about a girl who gets raped and murdered by a man in her neighborhood and nobody knows about it. She tells her story from her "heaven" and describes how her death has effected her family and friends.

One thing I like about the book is the tone the author uses and the suspense she builds. She give s the book so much life by the details she uses. She makes you feel like it happened to you or like your in the story because you can visualize everything she describes due to the vivid details she uses!

That sounds like a really interesting narrative technique...very interesting POV.

Interesting comments in the second paragraph, but I often wonder what students mean when they discuss details. It's great when students provide examples because it clarifies their thinking. Then again, I told you to keep it short and simple.
